I, of course, agree with Cheyrl. I solved the problem by putting electric collars on all the coyotes. They stay out of the yard, and my dogs stay in. In truth, I am not a fan of electric fences for all the reasons others have stated. I also don't like aversion training, (making pain for the dog to teach them a lesson), but I do understand the value. The best theory is to have a regular fence, then five or six feet inside it, put an electric fence. That way your dogs don't fence fight, and the neighbor's dog, (and any lose coyotes) can't get into your yard. I still insist on fenced yards for my puppies, but then again, Tedi makes all the decisions. I do have my own opinions, and every day she lets me know what it is. Evan L.
