got to agree with carolyn, here - there's a certain amount of responsibility
we have to take for our own lives and choices. sometimes, like last week, i
forget that. i had to take my mom to the ER. when we were leaving, there was
a young couple with a little boy, (maybe 4 years old), sitting outside. i
would bet that the child outweighed me - he looked like a human balloon. my
first thought was that, if there were no mitigating medical problem involved,
the
parents should be nailed for child abuse - that little boy was not out
purchasing the food or preparing the meals. when i got through being angry, i
realized that education, not punishment, was a better answer.
