doris - i wonder if your neighbor was related to the couple that used to
live next door to andy and me. first, they complained that "OUR" gopher was
digging up their flowers (no, i did not "own" a gopher). then, they
turned us in to the Los Angeles D.A's office because there was too much "dog
sex" going on in our back yard. when we met with the D.A., he asked how our
neighbors knew what was going on in our yard - i told them that she used to
climb a ladder and look over the fence. he sent us home and told us to
have a nice day. we moved shortly thereafter.

The people that took him moved away, and I did not see him for about six

On one of their trips they came by to see me, with the dog, and he went
just crazy when he saw me. They say an elephant never forgets. Neither
does a German Shepherd Dog.
As to the "neighbor", their house burned to the ground a couple of years
