Today, I watched my 4- and 6-year-old grandsons and my 4- and 5-year-old GSDs "play in the sprinkler" -- read water warfare with no holds barred and no quarter given on either side. Everyone ended up soaked to the skin and exhausted -- at least temporarily. The yard has seen better days; the house smells like wet dog; and the boys moved on to their T-ball game, once fortified with ice cream sandwiches and dry clothes. What a beautiful sight!!! GSDs and kids, romping in the water, having a wonderful time. Makes me smile.
