Jess has lost weight from the chemo and has become very picky about food. Does anyone have any ideas on a diet to get her to eat and put weight back on? Paul opines... When our George Michael dog was diagnosed with leukemia we experienced the same thing while he was on very aggressive chemotherapy. He lost 10 lbs. in what seemed to be overnight. The Oncologist asked if we ever fed raw? Of course my answer was yes. We ended up putting him on a completely raw diet with nuked veggies and at the time Peak Performance 2. Within a week his appetite had returned and within 2 weeks he was starting to gain weight even tho he was still doing Chemo. When we lost him 18 months later...he weighed 106 lbs. We have seen dogs that are ill get better faster when they are on a raw diet because they continue to eat. That is a definite up-side to such a diet because they love it so much. We really wouldn't have to clean bowls after they eat because there's nothing left...but of course...we do.
