About 15 people privately e-mailed me to tell me that I was the exception rather than the rule regarding critiques. (I want them.) All I can say is that critiques help me to see with new eyes, although I have never been accused of kennel blindness. A critique can help me decide if I want to show under a particular judge again or not. A critique teaches. I have been in the dog game since the late 70s but am still learning. A critique can also tell me if a particular judge is a bag of wind (ie doesn't know what he's talking about) or tried and true (has a good grasp of temperament, form and function.)
