I must be the exception to the rule too, I like to hear critiques including on
my own dogs. Like Penny says it lets me see with new eyes, learn and maybe
even disagree. It can be a learning tool in many ways and as always you
consider the source its coming from. ; )

About 15 people privately e-mailed me to tell me that I was the
xception rather than the rule regarding critiques. (I want them.)
ll I can say is that critiques help me to see with new eyes, although
have never been accused of kennel blindness. A critique can help me
ecide if I want to show under a particular judge again or not. A
ritique teaches. I have been in the dog game since the late 70s but
m still learning. A critique can also tell me if a particular judge
s a bag of wind (ie doesn't know what he's talking about) or tried
nd true (has a good grasp of temperament, form and function.)
