[ SHOWGSD-L ] Charm and the Lopez taping

We just got home from the taping. I found out that it will actually air
tomorrow night. It was a lot of fun and I was proud of Charm. We should be on
TV since George tried to run us over when he made his entrance. He came thru
the audience, not where they told us he was coming. Charm startled a bit when
the audience started standing, appluading, stomping and whistling. I was
looking for George in front of us and reached down to reassure Charm. Just as
I was straightening up, he came up behind me, grabbed my shoulder and jumped
over me. Yikes! I was hit and runned by George Lopez, LOL! Charm settled in
quite well after that and the noise become a non-issue. The crew was concerned
about a Yak that was going to be onstage. I wasn't. Charm had to do a photo
op with an elephant. A Yak is no biggie. She didn't care about the Yak. But
one funny thing happened. The hand signal they use to get the crowd up and
start applauding is similar to what I use in obedience for a Stand. Every time
one of the crew was in front of us and she saw the hand signal, she stood. Oh,
and they gave us a ride to the stage in a stretch golf cart thingy, LOL! It
was an adventure.
Charm's therapy dog certification expires the end of the month. I'm not
renewing it so this was her big finale. She will still do private home visits
with friends but the day took a lot out of her.
