Yes, Helen there is a club that gives a GV and GVX title. It is the GSDC
of San Diego. I did research on this and wrote an article for the Diablo
Valley GSDC newsletter.
This started at the time when air travel with dogs was not used as it is
today. In doing the research I found that people of that time took trains to
the National, had there dogs in the baggage car and took them out at each
stop.
The ladies of San Miguel Kennels imitated what became known as the Pacific
Coast Victor and Victrix award and trophies.
Tom or Vivian Brown could tell us what year, I have lost my research notes.
Beryl Eshom, (who was privileged to have my dogs win the beautiful San Diego
trophy a time or two.)
