The GSDCA will honor Military Working Dogs, SAR (Search and Rescue), Law
Enforcement,
Port of Entry German Shepherd Dogs and their Handlers on Friday Night
October 11, 2013.
in conjunction with our Centennial. Prior to the Honor Ceremony the GSDCA
will host a
Cocktail/Hors D'Oeuvres Reception at the Host Hotel.
This Ceremony will be very special. We are honored to have Dr. Cynthia
Otto, DVM, PhD accept
our invitation to give a Key Note Address. As you may know, Dr. Otto
studied the effects
of 9/11 on the SAR Dogs and is currently engaged in developing a genetic
based Working Dog Program at
the University of PA Vet School. Dr. Otto's work takes on new and serious
ramifications as the Gov
announces Lackland Air Force Base will NO LONGER ENGAGE IN THEIR BREEDING
PROGRAM for
Working Dogs.
New information about our Centennial will be forthcoming on the CENTENNIAL
WEB SITE
Watch for information on Hotels/Motels, schedules, complimentary tickets for
FRIDAY NIGHT ETC.
