[ SHOWGSD-L ] Canadian National questions

I would like to go to the Canadian National this year (for the first time).
I was told that the rooms were "reasonable", but the rooms that *I* am
seeing are $129 CAD. That's US$121...which is not within MY definition of
reasonable :-) Is there another hotel close by that really IS reasonable?
Also, the Holiday Inn (host hotel) says that it does NOT allow dogs. Is
this accurate? Where are the people with dogs going to stay?
Hoping I can go experience the Canadian national for the first time, but
with THESE prices, it's looking doubtful :-(
