Gag rule does not exist.......but what WAS passed in my opinion gives the 
impression of a gag rule....and in my opinion the rule was not necessary...and 
in my opinion it was created because some  members on the board for whatever 
reason don't like the list and the rule was put in to intimidate board members 
not to talk about board business....you can't read it any other way...I was 
born at night, but it wasn't last night...Ed Hill

We are all adults here (my presumption..could be wrong..) Is this   
chastisement coming from the president and/or fellow  members?...if so, then 
we are 
talking about ANOTHER issue and one that  should be dealt with between or 
among the member(s) in question. 
  
The fact remains that there is no rule that bans board members from posting 
 their comments/opinions to any list....I keep seeing post after post   
about the GAG rule...there is no such thing!!!!   
  
Referring to Ed's post...When a board member brings a motion to the   
floor...it has NO EFFECT on any of the members, it is just one person's opinion 
  
at that moment; and I think Ed will agree that we all have opinions at any 
given  moment.  The effect on the members comes into play when the motion is 
voted  on by the other members...so if a motion gets passed that is not to an 
 individual member's liking...then you look at the voting members who give 
it  life not necessarily at the person who brought the motion to the table.   
 The power is not in the hands of the person who brought the motion,  but 
rather the power is in the hands of those who put it in place by their   
votes....THIS IS AN IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER! 
And before everyone jumps on either wagon, READ the actual motion that was   
voted on...KNOW what the motion stated..NOT the interpretation of other 
posters,  then we can all make our own assessment of it for ourselves.  I am 
  
sure we can all understand that premise.   
  
REMEMBER a motion is POWERLESS and NON-EFFECTIVE without the  votes to
