I first saw BOSS in San Diego at the National. I was walking along and saw
a man "holding" the lead to a big, dark dog. The dog was laying down and
just enjoying the sights as people passed. I looked and kept
walking....stopped
- turned and went back. BOSS is a magnificent animal that causes that
double take. You do not truly appreciate him though until you see him on HIS
property. My mother was not impressed with BOSS having only seen him in
photos.
BOSS does NOT like his photo taken. lol I took her to see him on HIS
property. When we got back in the truck, she told me he was one of the most
beautiful German Shepherds she had ever seen. That is the presence of BOSS.
I have had a BOSS daughter, am owned by a BOSS son (who in turned produced a
GV), have a double BOSS granddaughter, and finally a puppy who is a BOSS
great grandson. You can probably figure out that I am a bit prejudice. <VBG>
But BOSS is one of the greats and, I believe, has had an influence on the
breed.
