By the time of the national, the chance of a hurricane is very small.
Remember Lexington and the freak winter storm? Now that was crazy a time,
yet I still had a wonderful time of it.
I remember all the negative comments about Daytona Lee to the point we
almost did not come. But we did, thought the site was great, hotel was
wonderful,
lots of grass. The comments in my opinion were quite wrong.
And boy do I remember Lexington......sitting in our seats having both snow
and rain going down the back of my neck. Never been so cold!!! My friend, now
passed, Dawn Campbell and I sat with the hotel bedspreads wrapped around us.
Brrrr!
Also got thinking. There are shows almost every weekend of the year in
Texas, and I have never known one to be canceled. 2 weekends in Louisiana
were
after Katrina, exceptional circumstances. Not that it matters, but just an
interesting note.
