Rather than go after Sharon, (or anyone else), or try to bypass the bylaws,
I'd rather see the Executive Committee concentrate on two pressing matters:
1. The Canadians who have not received their ballots. Ginny and Ken made
arrangements to FedEx or overnight deliver ballots to the Canadians who had
not received ballots. Let's offer to have them FedEx back and reimburse
them. Much less expensive than running another entire election! Why aren't
we doing that?
2. What is being done to inform the almost 500 GSDCA members without email
on this issue? These people need to know what to do when their ballots are
returned as much as we who are on the internet.

as confused as we are.

This has happened before, but not in great quantity. The member can scratch
their name off of the back of the envelope but, make sure they leave the bar
code alone.

We've contacted the post office and our representative is looking into this
matter.
The only thing I can say is that you should probably extend the election an
extra week if possible.
The members can blame us, but it's the United States Postal Service that's
doing this.

I spoke to Bill and he went to the Post Office. The best way to go now
is to cross off the bar code. The day of the tally we'll have to look up
the members name and address and physically put their election
validation number back on the envelope.
