You are 100% correct in your statement below.
Does not make any difference of whether
you breed 1 or 100 litters it depends on what you learn and how
you proceed in the future. Good breeders care about each pup
they are responsible for bringing into this world. Profit is not
why they breed but to improve the GSD breed. The GSD will be
the one that suffers not the breeder if it has health and temperament
issues. No tests for Cancer, EPI, DM, Gastric Torsion (Bloat) so it
is through careful study of what is in the dogs bloodlines can make
all the difference in the world of your planned breeding. Breeding a
Proven Champion to another Proven Champion does not make the
pup but careful planning for breeding healthy and sound temperament does.
Puppy mill breeders do not care that has been proven. There are different
forms of backyard breeders good and bad. Good breeders handle their
dogs and pups daily do not just leave them set in kennels or crates never
to enjoy life. This is no different than a prisoner just handed their food,
etc.
if they are in solitary confinement. Breeding dogs is a serious commitment
not to be taken lightly.
