Don't worry, I've been in constant communication with my vet since this all started........ we have been using an antihistamine, cough suppressent type of med on the mom, and the other affected adults. No-one has required antibiotic Rx for any secondary infection. Unfortunately she is away now for a week........ I did talk to her last night about the "what if the pups cough" and she suggested the current med in an appropriate weight adjusted dose. She has left a prescription for an antibiotic to use, "if I want to". I know the antibiotic won't touch the virus, and I have some concerns giving antibiotic to 10d olds....... Just looking for some input from folks who may have had a similar experience.
