Hi Joyce,
After asking Da List for advice on a carpet cleaning machine a few months ago,
I got over 50 answers with several different suggestions. The machine that
seemed to get the most votes was the Hoover Steam Cleaner, so that is what I
got. I am THRILLED with the outcome. It does a great job and doesn't "soak"
the carpet. In fact, if used correctly, you can walk on the newly cleaned area
within a few minutes. I was interested to read one of the other posts that
recommended OxiClean. I'll try that next. We have 2 GSDs in the house and a
grass free (mud) yard.
My daughter borrowed my machine and she did a vinegar rinse when she was all
done cleaning. Haven't seen the result yet, but she says her carpet "Sparkles"!
