[ SHOWGSD-L ] Another great weekend!

We went to the shows in Shreveport, LA, this weekend, and had a great ti=
me at the 4 all-breed shows and GSDC of Shreveport specialty! More peop=
le definitely need to come and support these clubs--they had terrific ho=
spitality and offered wonderful prizes at both the specialty and the all=
-breeds! Thank you to all of the club members!
On Friday, under Col. Jerry Weiss, our CH Windmill's Synchronicity (Stin=
g) was BOB. Col. Weiss' comments were "he moves like a dream...no lifti=
ng or scrambling--something you don't see enough of!" Thank you so much=
for noticing our boy, and only looking at the correct end of the leash!=
Sting was BOS the other days, including at the specialty on Saturday n=
ight.
Sting's daughter Mai'a was only entered Friday, Sunday and Monday. On F=
riday, she was RWB. On Sunday, she was WB under Roger Hartinger. On Mo=
nday, she was WB again, under Paula Hartinger, all from Bred-By. This n=
ow gives her 8 points with limited showing (her first shows were last fa=
ll). Mai'a is Wndmlls Every Rose Has Its Thorn--out of CH Sting and Win=
dmill's Wild Firecracker.
Our sable babies had a good weekend, too. They are now 8 months old. W=
indmill's F-F-F-Foolin' (Jesse) was RWD on Sunday and Monday, under the =
Hartingers. Windmill-Kaimacha Love Bites (Roxie) was Best Puppy at the =
specialty under Carol White-Moser, then Best Puppy on Sunday under Roger=
Hartinger and went on to a Puppy Herding Group II! Thanks to all of th=
e judges for their wonderful comments on Roxie! As soon as she grows he=
r coat back, she will be back in the ring and showing off! The babies' =
dam is our Yes Virginia daughter, Kaimacha Klassique (who is also a Boss=
and Jamaica granddaughter), and they are sired by our CH Sting.
All 3 kids did extremely well in Junior Showmanship as well. Ashley had=
2 second places and 2 third places in Open Senior. She showed Mai'a th=
ree days and Jesse on Monday. (She also handled Collies this weekend fo=
r Laurie Jeff Greer, and won the Puppy Herding Group on Sunday!) Holly =
won a 2nd place, two third places and a 4th place in Open Intermediate. =
Her Juniors dog has always been CH Sting. Logan showed his Aussie, and=
won his Novice Junior class on Friday for his third Novice win! He did=
n't show on Saturday because he had a baseball game, but he placed 2nd i=
n Open Junior on Sunday, and on Monday, received his first win in Open J=
unior! He was so excited, and we are extremely proud of him!! (and ALL=
of our kids!!)
It's nice to have good weekends!!
