The trick is to cultivate relationships w/ the AB clubs, join, volunteer, etc., etc. Make friends w/ folks in other breeds, help at their matches and shows, donate an occasional trophy, follow up w/ a thank you note for trophies won and the next thing you know you're getting a phone call about who they should get to judge. Besides...it's fun and extremely informational! I love listening to how breeders of other breeds think and what works for them.
