I will back Mary as to the value of good weekends like Monroe,
Louisiana. After being there, we tried to get our local specialty clubs
to do the same thing for our winter specialties...we have a facility
with 4 all breed shows, and we could easily have two night time
specialties to go along with them...but some of our local people really
didn't like the idea. They'd rather be outdoors in the freezing cold,
often with muddy ground.
I told them to go to Monroe...if they experienced that, we'd be able
to do the same thing here...imagine, a chance for 6 majors in 4 days!
Great idea, if only people would buy into it!
