I know that some of you judge at rare breed shows or at performance events put on by other organizations. If so, and if you're an AKC licensed judge, you need to read this... I was sent, by Vivian the full text. The AKC raised a good point. They feel by giving judges licenses they award a certain prestege, (maybe not in my case) that should not be used to give credence to other venues. They exclude ARBA as they allow judges to judge any breed not accepted by the AKC, or any breed that the judge is not licensed to judge. I understand the thinking behind the new rule, and can't say I disagree with it. It is a bit of a crunch on their judges, but we don't have to accept an AKC license if we don't want it.
