PLEASE let me remind you that AB1122, AB241, AB242, AB243 are now at  
the Governor's Desk.  Please call/fax/twitter/facebook/email  
(ANYTHING) Governor Schwarzenegger and ask him to veto these bills  
that will NOT be good for our dogs or us.
SB250 WILL be back next year, let's use our time wisely, stay active,  
in the meantime.  The "other side" won't be sleeping.

CA Senate 250 Will not Move This Year

Senator Dean Florez, the author of Senate Bill 250, has issued a press  
release stating that the bill will be put on hold until the  
legislature reconvenes in January 2010. AKC thanks the clubs, and  
responsible owners and breeders who took the time to educate their  
legislators about this issue.

We encourage you all to meet with your legislators during the upcoming  
recess; invite them to Responsible Dog Ownership days events, dog  
shows and club meetings so that they can better understand who we are  
and what we mean in expressing support for responsible ownership and  
responsible breeding practices.
