Well, Terry, as I said before the last time I was wrong was 1944. Looks
like I might have to revise that upwards (LOL) but I'll wait till I hear if the
New Mexico Club had to change their by-laws a couple years ago to host Rally.
Re Regional Clubs - I joined the St. Louis Club when I got my first GSD back
in 1967. I remember serving as their secretary (and boy was that a
contentious club back then) and on their newsletter. We moved to CT and I
joined the
New Haven Club. We moved to Dayton and I joined that Club. We moved to San
Jose, CA and I joined Golden State (did their newsletter and was President)
and Fanciers. Moved to VA and joined No. VA and Greater Wash. DC. I worked
for both clubs - including show sec, fut, sec, Pres. Moved to New Mexico and
was secretary and treasurer. I'm now back in VA and for the first time in
about 40 years am not a member of a regional club. It has taken me awhile to
get on my feet after our move. However, I am hearing that No Va needs help so
I suppose I will go join.
Being a member of a regional club gives one a lot of experience. Guess it
doesn't always make one right tho.

PS - Did I mention WDA and the Foundation?? I must be crazy. I really need
to work on my house. My niece just sent 100 pictures of our Colorado
reunion and I need to figure out how to download them onto my computer. And
then I
need to label all my past pictures for the last 30 years or so. GROAN!
