Um, not to be pissy or anything, but what so special about
a puppy that other creatures can be produced from
inhumane, factory-like conditions, but not them??? For
what it's worth, I don't believe that ANY sentient
creature should be produced from mills. If I had my way,
"pet stores" would only sell supplies, food and toys and
you would have to go to a reputable, caring breeder for an
actual living pet... goldfish and birds most especially!
