Many,many years ago I was campagning a very nice dog. I decided to show him
under two judges I believed to be beyond reproach. I was beat both days by, in
my opinion, a much lesser quality animal.
Years later one of the judges approached me and said he was sorry to have not
put my dog, instead of putting up the much lesser quality specimen. It
bothered his concious for some time and he had to get it off his chest. He
said he the other judge were getting in good with the lady judge who was doing
the Nationals that year. My dog finished the following weekend in Texas, her's
never did.
