Thanks, Jack, and everyone else who responded.
I thought of so much else I saw at the meeting. It encouraged me as never
before, and I sort of thought of the new United States President reversing
things done by the prior president. But, this was done with such good will, and
the member's rights in mind, that I supported all I saw.
I heard that the club had come up with a new Code of Ethics, and one board
member said she refused to sign it. It seems it contained a large number of
restrictions on the breeders and members. This board made it clear, it was not
approved, and therefore is not mandatory for the board members to sign. Erin
was there on her computer and was able to look up the minutes of the past board.
Stormy was able to go on line for me and find our law suit with the WDA. I was
able to see the insurance defense firm, (who I know well), and so I will send a
letter to the attorney today. I also saw we have a Mediation planned, and Frank
Fasano and I will be there, with our attorney. Also, I found out we are set
for a trial in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 8, 2018 for a Jury trial of
ten days. I will do all I can got resolve this at Mediation, something I do
often. I start a four day trial tomorrow, and the next week a Mediation of a 14
year old boy who was run down and killed. I represent his mother, and I plan
to settle it at Mediation.
I was impressed with the board, as well as Gary. I know each of the board
members, some more than others. But, it is a group we can all be proud of, and
I expect nothing but the best for the club, the members and the breed.
