Greetings and Happy New Year.
Just a reminder of the upcomming Sunflower Compute Club Meeting - Jan 28th
at 10:00
We have a new format and offering for the new year's meeting.
Be sure to visit the Kick Off Meeting for the new year.
While we share with you the status and plans for the new year,
I would like to learn a few things about the member needs - MEMBER NEEDS.
While we plan to continue:
keeping the Computer Room Operating as efficiently as possible, <<by SFCC
volunteers
keeping the printer loaded with paper, <<by SFCC volunteers
keeping the ink in the printers loaded, <<by SFCC volunteers
keeping the dust off the tables and computers, <<by Sunflower staff helping us
keeping the internet operational - ie wireless and comcast cable, <<by SFCC
volunteers
keeping the basic introductory classes available to each of you, <<by SFCC
volunteers
keeping you happy ( as much as possible ) with your personal computer needs,
I have two requests for help.
1- what else would you like to learn about computers - just the topic is
all I need at this time,
2- ask you to bring in one new member for 2009.
3- do you have another Computer Topic - you would like to have a 15 min
presentation on at training or at a compute club meeting?
4- we have been talking to Sunflower residents who use computers for such
things as
making movies
making audio CD from DVD movie/music recorded off the TV music
channels,
using sBay,
to mention a few and hope to have those presentation for you later
this year,
with all the varied talent in Sunflower we are searching for new
topic to learn about.
So, far I have found more than one member for SFCC- so I would like to
challenge you to each bring one new SFCC member in before 12/30/2009. We
may have an announcement at the Club meeting on this topic.
