That's a shame. We are booked into the Watermead Quest House in the center of
Chard and I believe Pam and Eric and Barry and Linda are as well.
We have decided to go anyway as it looks like a nice B&B and area to explore.
If the club event is cancelled we will do DIY BSG.
If anyone else fancies joining us that will be great Perhaps we can get some
advise from the local club group on good driving routes and lunch stops etc.

Hi all
A quick heads up re BSG (Big Southern Gathering) which I think you should
be made aware of.
To date the interest in this event has been very small, with only a
handful of tickets sold so far.
There’s been some ‘issues’ re the organising of this & as a result I’m
VERY concerned it could end up being cancelled.
As such, if you’re going or thinking of booking it do yourself favour &
book accommodation that can be cancelled without loss of a deposit.
No decision has been made yet so don’t panic, I’m just suggesting you
protect yourselves re hotels etc if it does get pulled.
If anyone want to discuss this or has any concerns feel free to call me
on 07931 371983
All the best

Hi James
Chard is about 25mls from Haynes Museum so should be a 20min run in TVR
time!. Historic helicopters at Purtington where we end up on the Saturday is
only about 5mls from Chard. The Watermead is a Guest House ,so B&B only, with
private parking. We have not stayed there before but the reviews look good,

I’ve booked the event but not the hotel yet. Chard looks quite a long way
from the Haynes Museum, is this a hotel you’ve stayed at before, does it come
highly recommended?

James, we are booked for the BSG in September. Looks like a good weekend.
We are driving to Chard on the Friday and have booked into the Watermead
Guest House for Friday and Saturday nights. It's right in the center of town
and has private parking.

Parking, so instead decided to drive to Blackpool today for the Pride
Drive. Left at 3:45am, 565 miles in total, got home at 5:30. Great day
and lively bunch of guys.
Not too sure that leaving the house is even an option
for me tomorrow, let alone for anything car related!

Hi all.
Hope all is well?
What’s your plans for the weekend?
Just a reminder it’s another busy weekend at Brands
Hatch & there will be a few TVRs racing.
Bromley Pageant Of Motoring is on at Norman Park on
Sunday, anyone taking their car or paying a visit? It’s only over the
road from my house so slightly tempted to walk over there.
I plan to be sitting in front of the telly watching Le
Mans & sighing a lot but could be tempted to pop out for a couple of
hours on Sunday morning either to the Pageant or a little drive. (Or
both!)
All the best
Nick
