Hi Ted,
Glad you completed the TV cable installation. Would you tell me where you
purchased the Glomex 10" antenna. I can only fine a 14" model.

I have successfully completed this project. Thanks to all for your
ideas.
I took apart the mast light and attached 5 strands of 80 lb. test
monofilament. My wife pulled the mast light wires down to the base of the mast
where we had freed the black hose exposing the wires. I then pulled the mast
wire to the top and re-wired the light, as this was the immediate priority.
One at a time, we used one strand of mono to pull the VHF antenna wire
through. It was snug at the bottom as the wire was pulled through the exit
nipple. We then pulled the TV antenna wire through after smearing the end with
silicone lubricant. This made the second antenna wire pull through much
easier. The exit nipple is full now.
I mounted a Glomex 10" TV antenna at the top of the mast and the
reception is great. We are able to pick up TV stations from West Palm Beach
that my house antenna, located 25 miles closer, does not pick up. The sailboat
is on a mooring in Key Biscayne.

Try using a short length of bicycle chain attached to a some strong
thin line. The chain will help pull it down and makes fishhing it out
the bottom easier.
