Gary,
We're back into WIFI range after an overnight sail/motor around Cape Canaveral.
We haulout just like the others. A Travel Lift with two straps. I confirmed
with Seawind that our boats can sit on their keels indefinitely. We obviously
place jacks at the fore and aft cross beams to keep her from tipping.

Gary, Pam and I are
still trying to keep the company open so we can go sailing. Planning on doing
the HaHa in November and spending the winter in the
Sea of Cortez .
Until then we will be in town working on the business and the boat. Hope you
guys are having fun and would love to see you when you return…

Hey Gary, here are some oics showing the strap
placement for both a travel lift and crane. Pic. # 3 is after we put the
stern extensions on as the crane is putting us back in the water. I don't
know if we placed the straps wrong or put to much helium in the stern
extension but the stern sure is sitting high! AJ

Thanks, Kurt.
One remote option is we haul the boat on a trailer with either keels on the
trailer or using 2x4 or larger wood in similar lift points as you mentioned.
What about those two options. (we're not sure this yard has spreader
bars)

Gary ,
Straps are not a problem, as long as it is in a travel lift or crane
with spreader bars to enable the straps to be a straight up pull. Straps
should be just in front of keel a couple of feet and pretty much
centered between the back of the keel and the rudder. Should either pull
the speed transducer prior to hauling or make sure strap is not on it.
(I have seen one crushed before!)
Good luck,
Kurt

We want to haul out Sol Surfin for a new bottom painting.
Can the SeaWind 1000 be hauled out with a travel lift using straps.
They
claim to have 4 straps. We have hauled out 2x but on trailers. I
have
searched SCOAA for a while and have re-glimpsed into the famous
KatiKat.net
site but haven't found anything after an hour.
