Welcome to the email list and to Spokane - I myself am a Seattle transplant
(2013), though I did grow up in the area.
It's hard to beat the club's Fishtrap site for convenience / darkness.
Other places that know of but haven't been: Lake Roosevelt National
Recreation Area (free camping for SAS members if you bring a scope!) and
Escure Ranch (not sure you can set up a tent there)
You are also welcome to join us at Fishtrap with or without a membership!

I think most folks will be out of town or busy on the 2nd, so let's shoot
for the 9th. There's also the Palouse Astro Society Star Party on the 9th.
I'll likely be going to Fishtrap that weekend - maybe we can get John to
