Dear Parents:

Starting in August 2013, ALL seventh graders were required to get the Tdap
vaccine to protect them against whooping cough (pertussis). Richland School
District One has sent letters home, advertised the requirement, utilized the
School Messenger - Phone System, made personal phone calls, and included
reminders in students' interim report cards to get the word out to parents.

On Tuesday, October 15, students who have not had a Tdap vaccination and/or
their 30-day Immunization Exemption has expired will not be allowed to attend
school.

DHEC will be hosting a Tdap Clinic:

When: Monday, October 14, 2013
Time: 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Where: Richland Two District Conference Center at the Columbia Place Mall

The District Conference Center is located at the Columbia Place Mall on the
second floor near Burlington Coat Factory. Please park on the backside of the
mall in parking aisles 19 and 20.
Cost - $13.00 (Medicaid will be billed for those who have Medicaid.)

Walk-ins will be accepted, but to ensure enough Tdap doses, please call today
and schedule and appointment at 1-800-403-4047.

You may also check with your doctor, local pharmacy and the Richland County
Health Department. Parents, please take care of this requirement immediately!

Students who have not had a Tdap vaccination and/or their 30-day Immunization
Exemption has expired will not be allowed to attend school until an
immunization certificate can be presented to the school.

Please contact the school nurse, Nurse Copeland (750-4028), if you have any
questions.
