The report from Tuesday's briefing was that on landing, the bridle was cut
with Spirit only 8.5 meters above ground (about 1.5 air bag diameters).
It's believed that Spirit's first bounce was slightly higher than the
point of bridle cut, and bounced about 28 times. It appears Spirit
bounced uphill and ended up 250 to 300m SE of first bounce after 57
seconds.

The parachute opened 4.6mi up at 920mi/h. The parachute slowed the lander
down to 152mi/h, which is 30mi/h faster than a earth-bound skydiver (prior
to the parachute opening). At 342ft the rocket fired and when the bridle
was cut it was going 22mi/h towards the SE. Bounces 25-28 went through
Sleep Hollow.
