We are currently running a very old hosting plan on GoDaddy; it is no
longer available (or supported very much). They want us to convert to
a current hosting plan, which is essentially equivalent to moving to
another vendor. The site would be unloaded, moved to the new server,
then installed in a new WordPress installation.
I thought SAC had moved the website to the newer cPanel hosting.
Evidently not. If it's using the older hosting, then it's likely it's
using an older version of PHP.
I'm currently trying to gain access to the current site and hosting
plan to see what the situation is there.
When I left GoDaddy last year, I purchased 20 years of Ultimate cPanel
with my employee discount. It was so cheap it was worth getting even
if I didn't use it for several years. I can move the SAC site over
without too much difficulty.
I'll provide more details once I have access to the site.
My job at GoDaddy was Hosting Support so I'm extremely familiar with
the hosting plans. In the future, I would like to provide lower level
support to the site while Brew provides the higher level content
support.
