Great idea. I've subscribed to ATT for the last two years and really enjoy
it. Although I'm not "handy," I'm always amazed at the great ideas found in
the "Astro Tips" section on the last page of every issue.
Besides the benefit of an informative mag to peruse at my leisure, it feels
good to know I'm supporting an astronomy-related small business.

Just received the latest issue of this magazine today. For those who are
not familiar with it, ATT is a bi-monthly astronomy magazine that is mostly
about the latest advances in equipment. Their Web site is here.

The subscription rate is $18 for six issues, but they are offering a
discount for clubs. I have requested more information. The nice thing is
that the discount comes with additional perks.
- Club receives a complimentary copy.
- Club also receives two complimentary gift subscriptions per year.
- If the club holds an event with more than 50 people in attendance, they
have an opportunity to receive 50 complimentary copies for distribution.
This offer probably won't last long, but it would be nice for the Messier
Marathon and AASP.
The implementation of the club is simple for the Treasurer. Members can
subscribe on the Web site, and use a club discount number that ATT will
provide.
I'll find out how much the discount is, and relay the information along to
both EVAC and SAC boards.
