This is not that unusual. I have had several relatives and friends who have
had a funeral service e in one town, and then later another service at the
crematorium a day or two ( or longer) at a different place. We don’t know the
circumstances, maybe she died in Sydney and had been living there for a bit,
but wanted to be buried at her hometown Wangaratta. I would index it as a
funeral and use the date of publication only, but if you wanted to do so, maybe
two different entries. The Sydney one would be the optimal one because that
would give at least the state of her death.

Subject: [ryerson_index] Two funeral services
Hi All,
An interesting one. This funeral notice contains two dates for services in
different places.
Should we have two entries in Ryerson or just pick one.
This was published in the Melbourne Herald-Sun on 27th September, i.e. same
date as the first service which took place in Sydney.
Thoughts?
