As you probably know, Trump has declared a national emergency over his
perceived lack of funding for his unnecessary wall. His latest temper tantrum
has created a constitutional crisis. Groups like Moveon and Indivisible have
called for a nation-wide protest on Monday. However, since we already have a
weekly presence, we are coordinating the Albuquerque actions with our friends
at Indivisible Nob Hill for the protest to coincide with our weekly rally.
We have invited our MOCs to address us, as well as a few other speakers. We are
expecting a larger crowd. If it's big enough, we'll march to Civic Plaza.
Our beloved Ragin' Grannies are going to lead us in great protest songs!
We'll have call sheets and will probably do the 10-A-Day Challenge again since
we really need to put pressure on the Senate to do their jobs. (Again ... sigh)
The weather doesn't look too good - high of 35 - so bundle up!
We'll send the call sheet out in the next day or two and hope to have a better
idea of our speakers.
