Braille House is seeking a self-starting, client focused, experienced
Production Co-ordinator/Braille Transcriber to join our established and
thriving not-for-profit. Full outline of position is as follows:

Braille House is seeking a self starting, client focused, experienced
Production Co-ordinator/Braille Transcriber to join our established and
thriving not-for-profit.
You would be responsible for the following areas:
* Facilitate the development and implementation of a Production Plan
for the organisation, in consultation with the General Manager. The
Production Plan is to be updated annually and is to be relevant to the
organisation as a national entity.
* Manage the policies, procedures and processes of the Production
function (transcribing, embossing, ebraille and binding) to achieve set
outcomes.
* Transcribe and produce braille transcription (UEB, Music, Text and
School material including Maths and Science)s well as tactile maps, pictures
etc.
* Ensure all outputs produced in the Production team are of a
consistent high quality and accuracy.
* Manage the coordination of work within the team to ensure timely
and efficient production of outputs.
* Source production opportunities for the organisation, eg,
restaurants and cafes menus to be brailled.
* Contribute to the development of quotes for work to be undertaken
in relation to fee-for-service activities.
* Coordinate training and development of team members.
* Develop and maintain instructional materials as required.
* Represent Braille House at relevant networks.
* Develop and sustain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
* Effectively contribute as a team player.
. Competently utilise necessary technologies.
