I lived in Westmorland for a while. I believe modern "Cumbria"
encompasses what used to be Cumberland, Westmorland and North
Lancashire. There may be detail changes too. I rather regretted all
these changes myself. The only good thing to come out of it was the
ability to tease a mate of mine from Hull, who was the most keen
Yorkshire Nationalist I know, that he wasn't from Yorkshire but
Humberside:-)
