Dear All,
My cousin back in Ireland has an old plate camera, which has two tripod holes,
neither of which seem to fit a modern tripod screw.
Were there any other common standards, or was it just a matter of makers
choice? From what I remember the camera in question was British, and close to a
5x4 in size. All speculation or hypothesizing would be most welcome, though
solid historical facts would of even greater value.
All the best
