Yes Dirk, it was introduced at PMA 2006:

While the new Tele looks similar regarding the FX and
Rollei Wide, the front panel thickness looks similar
regarding the Sommermeier prototype ready for
production on the sixties(it was not manufactured due
to Rollei started to manfucature the SL 66 and the
Rollei 35); as I wrote in the old Rollei list, perhaps
they used the Sommermeier focusing mechanism prototype
for the new Tele.-
