I have periodically found second-hand short releases (about 3-4") at
camera fairs. I bought one last Sunday for 20 pence (UK). I have a 35mm
Rodenstock Apo-Grandagon which sits in a VERY recessed lens panel on my
Rollei xAct and the modern releases have a long knurled screw fitting.
The one I purchased was only about 1/4 inch long including thread. The
vendor had 3 or 4 more - I should have bought them all. ;-)

Does anyone know where I can buy a cable release about 2-3" long? I
would like to be able to use a cable release on my Rolleicord since I
suspect I will get less camera shake than if I trip the shutter with the
cocking lever. The shortest length I can find in places like B&H is 6"
which is really too long to leave attached to the camera when I am
carrying it.
