You will probably find that a short cable release will actually wind up more of a PIA instead. A better solution would be to use the cocking lever as nature intended. With some practice you will discover it is quite easy to isolate the motion for a steady shutter release. This works even better if you limit your intake of coffee before commiting photography.

Does anyone know where I can buy a cable release about 2-3" long? I would like to be able to use a cable release on my Rolleicord since Isuspect I will get less camera shake than if I trip the shutter with thecocking lever. The shortest length I can find in places like B&H is 6" which is really too long to leave attached to the camera when I am carrying it.
