I wonder if anyone on this list knows anything about the
Sharman Camera Works in San Francisco. I have a Sharman tripod,
minus a tilt head. Wood, very nicely made, indeterminate age,
could be anywhere from the 1930's to 1950's bur from its
condition I think not too old. I've done a google search, which
found some for sale but no information on them or the company. It
has a 1/4-20 fixing bolt so will take a variety of standard tilt
heads. I don't remember where I got it, probably a swap meet, had
it a long time.
I also looked at a couple of 1950's vintage catalogs with no
luck.
I also posted the question in Pure-Silver. My google search
found someone else also asking about Sharman in a large format
list. No answer.
