This is very interesting - what I get back from the local pro-shop, printed from my 35mm negs has pixels for sure. They look like a printed version of a monitor screen. The prints from the 6x6 negs, now that you mention it (and I pull my loupe out) are much like to the real thing. Why do you suppose the 35mm negs produce poor prints, but the 6x6 do a pretty good job?

I have had some large (30 x 30) lightjet prints made from Rollei negative that I have scanned myself, and when I look at them with a loupe, I don't see pixels. They are just like optical prints, in my experience, not inkjets.

I've made many many 48x48 LightJet prints from 6x6 transparencies and 48x60 LightJets from 4x5 transparencies. The LightJet and Chromira technology leaves no trace of pixels (dots). And the sharpness is breath taking!
