Subject: [rollei_list] SL66 help needed

Guys: I picked up an SL66 and am trying to make it work.

Every time I try to load the camera, following the manual's
instructions, the magazine knob does not lock at frame 1
and the film winds all the way through the magazine. The
magazine's film feeler seems to do its work -- the indicator
on the bottom lines up with the dot to show that the film is
loaded -- but the magazine knob's not locking. I am loading
with the shutter cocked, as per the manual.

Is there something I am overlooking? Is this something that
requires the magazine to be rebuilt?

I'd like to figure this out quickly so I can deal with my seller
so if anyone has an answer, sooner is better.

Sanders
