Well, I did something that I have never done before: I went ahead and removed
the front lens elements from one of my Old Standards. To my surprise, the metal
ring surrounding the taking lens is considerably thinner, i.e. not as tall, as
the ring for the viewing lens. IOW, there is no adjustment that would ever
allow the Rolleinar lens to ever fully seat on the taking lens. I will just
give it a try, as is, as see what happens. If the photos come out not correctly
focused, I can rest in the assurance that nothing can be done about it……short
of modifying the Rolleinar mounting skirts.
