Jeffrey, check out this page: http://www.siufai.dds.nl/Rolleiflex35_TLR.htm

You can get an idea where the MX-EVS fits into the 3.5 series.
As you'll see, the MX-EVS was one step before the 3.5E, not like a "T" at all. No plastic parts.

I like the EVS engaged when the light isn't changing, but I'm glad I can disengage it in rapidly changing light.

That makes sense. I don't mind the EV thing, once I get used to it. I have a
Konica rangefinder that does that, and some light meters that do that. How
does it compare to the Rolleiflex T (plastic parts?).

Hi Jeff,

EVS is EV (Exposure Value) System. You can use EV in lieu of F stop/Shutter
speed with an EVS system to set your exposure. Some light meters also
incorporate the EV system as well as F-stop and Shutter speed metering.

EVS is basically the same thing as a F-stop and Shutter speed
combination(although I am almost certian there are some here that are sure
to correct me on this and give you a more precise and much more complicated
definition). EVS is also on other models, like the E. You either like it or
hate it. Personally, I like it.

Ken, my camera has the Xenar and looks identical to that photo. The serial

There was a yellowed paper tag inside the back indicating that someone had
bought the camera new in Germany at a US military exchange.
