Hi Jan:
            I never had problems with the film thickness for the 2,8C and
3,5F automatic film feeler mechanism, even using the newest films. I guess
some new film batches were used in some Rolleiflexes with uncalibrated
rollers at the ending of the '70s and the beginning of '80s and the problem
was reported to Braunschweig. Anyway, the real cause to eliminate the film
feeler mechanism was production costs reduction, the other two are excuses
merely.
